Well, we have been in our new place for 2 weeks now and it's already feeling like home. We moved on Friday, June 24th. The movers had everything unloaded and into our new place by 2 pm and we started unpacking.
I had to make a trip back to the old house and remembered to get the leftover chinese food from the fridge so we had something to eat that night. The girls were exceptionally cranky that first night in our new place, but we finally managed to get them to bed and think about eating around 11 pm. My husband asked me where the silverware was? I had absolutely no idea. We just gave up and went to bed without dinner. At lease I had put a set of clean sheets in our suitcase so that we would be able to make the bed when it was time. So about 11:30 we were making the bed and I realized that I had packed the queen size sheets for the guest bedroom and we had no idea where sheets for our king bed were! I sat down on the bed and laughed so hard I cried. It's not that funny now, but it was absolutely hysterical then, believe me.
Knowing full well we would need extra motivation in the morning, I was very careful to pack the coffee, coffee filters and coffee pot with the girls bottles and formula and mark that box to be opened first. Of course it was at the very back of the kitchen and at the bottom of a stack of boxes, but I found it. I was so proud as I watched the coffee brewing the next morning. Then my hubby says, where are the coffee cups?? Dammit! So close and yet so far. Is there a Starbucks in this town??
